Action in the case of singer Zubin Garg : Manager Siddharth Sharma and festival organizer arrested

A major action has been taken in the case of singer Zubin Garg. In the case of Zubin Garg’s death, his manager Siddharth Sharma and the chief organizer of North East India Festival (NEIF) Shyamkanu Mahant have been arrested in Delhi. After the arrest, both have been taken to Guwahati. Police said in this matter that Zubin Garg’s manager and festival organizer are being questioned.
Arrests at airport and Gurugram
The Mahant was arrested on his arrival at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport from Singapore, while Siddharth Sharma was arrested from an apartment in Gurugram.
The Assam government had formed a 10-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by Special Director General of Police MP Gupta to probe the death of the singer after he drowned in Singapore on September 19. The SIT had issued notices to the Mahant, Sharma and several people, including members of the Singapore Assam Association and those who had gone to Singapore for the festival, to appear and record their statements.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had earlier said that a lookout notice had been issued by Interpol against Shyamkanu Mahant and Siddharth Sharma, asking them to appear before the CID by October 6.
Let us tell you that popular singer Zubin Garg passed away in Singapore on September 19. He had gone on a yacht for a water sports activity, where he went scuba diving without a life jacket and died during this. Initially, it was believed that his death was an accident. But later, as the circumstances became suspicious, an investigation was started under the direction of the Assam government.
