Bad news for bankrupt Pakistan Afghanistan has stopped trade

  • All routes between Afghanistan and Pakistan have been closed
  • Even things like medicines are being ordered from other countries through other routes: Strict orders of the Afghan government

Bankrupt Pakistan is now really trapped. Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has put a 3-month deadline on its traders, during which the traders will have to reduce trade with Pakistan. And at the end of 3 months, trade will have to be stopped completely. Along with this, Afghanistan has completely closed that trade route after 3 months.

This is not a political move. Clarifying this, Baradar said that the purpose behind this is to protect our industries, trade and the rights of Afghans.

Apart from this, traders have also been asked to import important items like medicines from other countries instead of importing them from Pakistan. Not only that, but those imports have been ordered to be imported not through Pakistan but through other countries. Aircraft have also been ordered to be brought in from neighboring countries like Iran instead of through Pakistan.
