The World Uyghur Congress (WUC) described China’s atrocities on the Uyghurs in its weekly press conference. It was said that China is destroying our culture and traditions in a ritualistic manner. We need international cooperation.
Dolkun Isam, former president of the World Uyghur Congress and chairman of the UZDM, gave details of China’s oppression of the Uyghurs while addressing the Turkish Muslim Youth Leadership Program held in Krefeld, Germany. Abdul Jalil, Director of the Information Center of the World Uyghur Congress, was present with him. UZDM Treasurer Isa was also present. In it, the genocide of Uyghurs by China and China’s action to exclude Uyghurs from the large-scale mineral production and legal share in Xinjiang, the genocide of those who led the freedom movement in Xinjiang, and the brutality of China in imprisoning not thousands but millions of Uyghurs were discussed, and an announcement was made to Uyghurs around the world to unite.
It is worth mentioning that in the World Congress of the W-UC held in Prague in 2000, Czech President Peter Ilya and Tibetan leader Dr. Lobsang Sangye were also present. At that time, author Rushan Abbas’s memorable book Power of the Powerless was also released. The author had presented a report to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom about China’s human rights abuses.
