Heavy rains in Mexico : death toll rises to 64 in floods

Heavy rains have caused flooding in Mexico. More than three and a half lakh people have been affected in this flood. The death toll has risen to 64 and 65 people are still missing. Landslides have occurred in many places.

There was heavy rain in the Veracruz province of Mexico. As 21 inches of rain fell in a few days, the entire province was flooded. Hundreds of people were forced to live in darkness due to the rain and floods. Many areas are still submerged in water, the process of delivering relief materials has begun there. The storms that hit the west coast of Mexico created pressure and caused extremely heavy rains.

35,000 houses collapsed in the rain and landslides. 16,000 houses collapsed in 55 municipalities in the state of Veracruz. The rest of the houses collapsed in coastal areas. Landslides were reported in the central state of Querétaro. In some areas, houses were filled with 12 feet of water. Cars were seen floating in the water. Many living things also died in the flood.
