Mumbai has been receiving heavy rains since this morning. Due to heavy rains, the recently inaugurated Worli Underground Metro Station was flooded. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated it on May 1. Due to heavy rains in Mumbai, there has been a 7-8 km long jam in many areas. Winds are blowing at a speed of 70 to 80 km, due to which many trees have fallen. Heavy rains have disrupted normal life in ‘Mayanagari’ Mumbai. The monsoon has arrived in the Maharashtra capital 16 days ahead of its scheduled time. The Meteorological Department has put the entire Mumbai on red alert. Some parts of Mumbai have received more than 200 mm of rain and this torrential rain has broken the 107-year-old record for the month of May. Along with the rain, winds have been blowing at a speed of 70 to 80 km per hour in Mumbai, due to which trees have fallen in many areas. After the rain, there was a traffic jam of 7-8 km in many places. Local trains on the Harbour and Central lines have been affected. Thousands of people are still stranded. Here in Pune, rivers and canals suddenly overflowed due to heavy rains on Sunday. Due to cloudburst in the Patas area on the Pune-Solapur highway, a flood-like situation has been created in Baramati and Indapur.
