India whitewashes West Indies by 2-0 : Kuldeep and Yashasvi lead the way

The Indian cricket team has whitewashed the two-match Test series against the West Indies by 2-0 with a brilliant performance. India has won the second and final Test match played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi by seven wickets. The Indian team easily achieved the target of 121 runs to win in the first session of the fifth and final day of the game (October 14).

Young players Kuldeep Yadav and Yashasvi Jaiswal played a key role in India’s victory. Kuldeep Yadav took a total of 8 wickets in the match and destroyed the West Indies batting order. While young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant century of 175 runs in the first innings to help India give a huge lead.

In the Delhi Test, West Indies scored 248 runs in the first innings. In response, the Indian team declared the innings by scoring 518 runs for 5 wickets with the help of Yashasvi’s century and took a strong lead of 270 runs. India followed up with West Indies, in which the West Indies team was able to score 390 runs in the second innings, due to which India got a small target of 121 runs to win.

With this victory, the Indian team has maintained its record of winning a Test series against West Indies. This is India’s 10th consecutive Test series victory against West Indies. West Indies last defeated India in a Test series in 2002. Since then, West Indies has not been able to win a single Test match against India. It is worth noting that India won the first Test of the series in Ahmedabad by a huge margin of 140 runs.
