Vistadome train service has been started in Uttar Pradesh to promote eco-tourism and tourism. This special train connects three sanctuaries namely Dudhwa National Park, Katarniaghat and Kishanpur. Along with this, Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country where the facility of ‘Vistadome Jungle Safari’ has been started. By sitting in this train, tourists will be able to have the exciting experience of jungle safari. Currently, this service is available only on Saturdays and Sundays. In the coming days, it will be started for all the seven days of the week. The Uttar Pradesh government has linked three sanctuaries – Dudhwa National Park, Katarniaghat and Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary – under the ‘One Destination, Three Forests’ scheme. The Vistadome Jungle Safari Train has been launched with the same objective. This will promote tourism and also increase employment opportunities at the local level. This train-service will strengthen the local economy with the participation of home stay owners, resort operators and travel agents. The message of conservation of natural resources and biodiversity will also be spread through this train. The train has been named ‘Bichia to Mailani Tourist Passenger Train’ (No. 52259). It departs from Bichia station in Bahraich at 11:45 am and reaches Mailani station in Lakhimpur Kheri at 4:10 pm after passing through various stations. On the return journey, the train will be known as ‘Mailani to Bichia Tourist Passenger Train’ (No. 52260), which departs from Malani at 6:05 am and reaches Bichia station at 10:30 am.
