He said that in 2018, at the age of 17, Abhishek Sharma was included in their team by Delhi Capitals. In his first match, Abhishek scored 46 runs in 19 balls. However, he got a chance to play only three matches. After that, Delhi Capitals pushed for Shikhar Dhawan, who was playing for Hyderabad, to join their team in the next season.

Rajkumar Sharma said that SRH’s mentor VVS Laxman asked for Abhishek Sharma instead of Shikhar Dhawan. When he was asked why Abhishek Sharma?
