Environmental activist Greta Thunberg’s ship heading towards Gaza has been stopped in the middle of the road. According to the information received, the Israeli navy has stopped the ship in the middle of the road and taken Greta Thunberg to Israel. There were 12 people on board the ship, including Thunberg. This ship named Madeline was delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, which was being operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. According to the information received, the operators of the Madeline said via Telegram that the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reached the ship at around 3 am. All the people present here have been allegedly arrested and the Israeli Navy is taking the ship to Ashdod Port. Earlier, the IDF had estimated that the ship would reach Israeli territory about an hour ago. The Israeli Navy had also allegedly contacted the Madeline and instructed it to change its course.

Others on board include French member of the European Parliament and Palestinian-born Rima Hassan, who has been barred from entering Israel for her opposition to Israel’s policies towards the Palestinians. Last month, the Freedom Flotilla also attempted to reach Gaza by sea, but was unsuccessful. However, Malta launched two drone attacks on another ship in the group as it entered international waters, which also failed. The group blamed Israel for the attack. The ship’s bow was damaged in the attack.
