England’s legendary player James Anderson has been given the title of “Sir”. Princess Anne, a member of the British royal family, honored Anderson with knighthood at a ceremony held at Windsor Castle.
Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak nominated Anderson for this honor in April 2024. Anderson played cricket for England for 21 years and is the highest wicket-taker for Britain in Test cricket. Anderson has been given the title of “Sir” for this brilliant cricket career.

Before Anderson, Andrew Strauss received this honor in 2019. England’s legendary cricketer Alastair Cook has also received the title of Sir.
