After causing a stir across the world, Corona has now made a comeback. New cases of Corona have been reported in Hong Kong and Singapore in Asia. Health officials in Hong Kong and Singapore warned that Covid-19 cases are increasing rapidly due to the resurgence of the Covid-19 wave in Asia.

The virus outbreak in Hong Kong has escalated, Albert Au, head of the infectious diseases branch at the city’s Centre for Health Protection, told local media this week, adding that the percentage of positive Covid-19 cases has reached its highest level in a year. The Centre’s data shows that 31 serious cases were reported in the week ending May 3, the highest in the past one year. The data shows that there has been a worrying increase in serious cases, including deaths, which have reached a peak point in almost a year. 31 new cases have been reported in the week ending May 3. However, this number of infections does not match the peak of infections seen in the last two years. It is being said that more than 7 million people have been admitted to hospitals due to this virus-related illness.

Singapore remains on high alert. The Ministry of Health this month released its first update on the number of infections in almost a year. The estimated number of cases in the week to May 3 rose 28% from the previous seven days to 14,200.
