Now, we will target Islamabad itself, Afghan warning: Turkey has also not been able to reach a settlement

  • The armies of both countries are on high alert
  • Afghanistan has certainly appealed for peace, but has also given a clear warning: We will respond to aggression with aggression

The ongoing peace talks between Afghanistan and Pakistan in Turkey are on the verge of collapse. Afghanistan has given a very strict warning to Pakistan. It has said that if any attack is carried out or if Afghanistan is bombed, Islamabad will be directly targeted. Its Defense Ministry has openly said that now any attack from Pakistan will be responded to in its own language.

Currently, talks are going on in Istanbul between the two countries regarding the border dispute and other issues. But no decision has been taken. The warning given to Pakistan by the Taliban government can have multiple meanings. It is also believed that these talks have reached the brink of collapse without reaching any agreement.

According to Tolo News, the Afghan side was committed to the talks. But the Pakistani delegation did not relax its stance at all.

The Pakistani delegation claimed that Afghanistan should promise security to Pakistan. It should not give shelter to Tehreek-e-Taliban-e-Pakistan (TTP). But Afghanistan remained silent on this and said that by putting such conditions, the Pakistani delegation itself has failed the peace talks. For all these reasons, the talks that lasted for 9 hours have failed.

On the one hand, Pakistan is pressuring the Afghans to take military action against Tehreek-e-Taliban-e-Pakistan. On the other hand, Afghanistan accuses Pakistan of crossing the border and carrying out air strikes. Therefore, despite the mediation of Turkey and Qatar, the deadlock between the two sides continues. The differences are deepening.

The problem has increased when Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif threatened even before the peace talks began that if the talks failed, there would be an open war with Afghanistan. On the other hand, a team led by Afghan Deputy Home Minister Maulvi Rahmatullah Najeeb accused Pakistan of taking an unfair stance. Due to this, tensions increased. The air strikes carried out by Pakistan added fuel to the fire. Afghan leaders said that we have not only not bowed down to Russia or America, but have also uprooted both of them from our soil, so where is Pakistan in this vastness?
