A plane crashed off the highway near the Beechcraft Museum in Tullahoma, Tennessee, on Sunday. All 20 passengers on board were miraculously rescued. They suffered injuries but no fatalities. Seeing the accident, the Highway Patrol immediately reached the scene of the accident and rushed the injured to the hospital for treatment. The pilot, sensing trouble with the plane, landed it on Old Shelby Road because there was no other option. But that road was old and not used much. So the plane crashed on the road. The accident occurred just a short distance from the Beach Craft Museum in the city of Tullahoma. The plane was actually supposed to land on the runway of the city’s airport. Locals said that since the plane could not reach the airport, there was no question of landing on the runway. It broke up while landing on that old road. The pilot also got out safely, but the cockpit was severely damaged.
A local woman who witnessed the accident said, “I was sitting with my dog in the courtyard (patio) of my bungalow. The plane flew very low over the bungalow. It was heading towards the broken road when its wing hit a tree.”
