Punjab Kings have made it to the final of the IPL after 11 years. The team defeated Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets in Qualifier-2. Now the final will be played between Punjab and Bengaluru in Ahmedabad on June 3.
On Sunday, Punjab chased down a target of 204 runs in 19 overs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Captain Shreyas led the team to victory by hitting sixes. He played an unbeaten innings of 87 runs in 41 balls. This innings included 5 fours and 8 sixes.
Apart from Shreyas, Nehal Wadhera scored 48 and Josh Inglis scored 38 runs. Ashwini Kumar took two wickets. After losing the toss, Tilak Verma and Suryakumar Yadav played an innings of 44 runs each for Mumbai while batting. Jonny Bairstow scored 38 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai took 2 wickets for Punjab.
