‘Satish Shah should be awarded the Padma Shri’, FWICE appeals to PM Modi

Bollywood veteran actor Satish Shah said goodbye to the world on October 25. He will be remembered not only for his work in the film industry, but also for his acting on TV. People remember him with great respect for his contribution to the world of cinema. In such a situation, now after his demise, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has made a special appeal to the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi. The federation has demanded a posthumous Padma Shri award for Satish Shah.

A letter has been written to PM Narendra Modi on behalf of FWICE, in which a Padma Shri award has been demanded for veteran actor Satish Shah. In this letter, it has been requested from the PM that Satish Shah is one of the most loved and respected actors in India. He should be considered for the Padma Shri award posthumously. The federation has also called the actor a talented artist and mentioned his works in the letter, saying that whenever he came on screen, he used to bring smiles to the faces of millions of people in the country.

The letter further wrote that he has ‘Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi’, ‘Sarabhai Vers Sarabhai’, ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’, ‘Main Hoon Na’ and several other films and TV shows, in which Satish Shah has played memorable roles and he will always be remembered for them. He was one of the chosen actors of the industry. Satish Shah breathed his last in Mumbai on October 25 at the age of 74 due to kidney failure.

Satish Shah’s career was very long from cinema to television. Through both the mediums, he acted powerfully and made a different identity in the industry. He entertained the audience a lot not only in films but also in the world of TV. He is known for films and serials like ‘Filmi Chakkar’, ‘Golmaal’, ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Hum Aap Ke Hai Kaun’.
