Thunderstorm and rain in Delhi, 25 flights diverted

Heavy rains lashed Delhi on Sunday morning along with thunderstorms. Waterlogging has caused flood-like conditions on roads like Minto Road, Moti Bagh and Delhi Airport Terminal-1. According to reports, more than 100 flights have been affected due to this, out of which more than 25 flights have been diverted. Some flights were delayed and some were canceled. Monsoon arrived in the country yesterday. It reached Kerala 8 days ahead of its scheduled time. At the same time, Navtapa is also starting from today, which will continue till June 2. It is extremely hot during this period. The Meteorological Department has issued thunderstorm and rain warnings in 21 states of the country today. In addition, a warning of hailstorm has been issued in Uttarakhand and dust storms and heatwave in Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for wind gusting to 40-50 kmph, heavy rain and lightning in 12 districts of the state on May 27 and 28.
