US President Donald Trump has signed a new proclamation, under which he has completely banned citizens of 12 countries from entering the United States. Along with this, partial restrictions have been imposed on people coming from 7 other countries. Trump has taken this step expressing concern about America’s national security. According to the report, the 12 countries whose citizens have been completely banned from entering the US include Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. Citizens of these countries will no longer be able to enter the US. The ban will come into effect from 12:01 am on Monday. In addition, Trump has also imposed a partial ban on people from 7 other countries. These include Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela. People coming from these countries will now be subject to special conditions and strict screening. However, this is not the first time that Donald Trump has adopted such a policy. Earlier, during his first term, Trump had banned travel from 7 Muslim-majority countries, which was later approved by the Supreme Court in 2018.
